The P.C.M.O. is very strongly opposed to the maintenance of Tung
Hospital

His Medical Report for 1889 showed 25 deaths. The Governor, however, was of
opinion that the hospital was in excellent order, and that there were more deaths under native than under Chinese treatment. (See (388.)
I do not know whether the Governor meant that the Hospital
was in a condition offensive to quietness - which I do not think is disputed
or
that the sanitary and medical arrangements were adequate - on which point I fear no decision can hardly be obtained. Dr. Atherisa's percentages of deaths
